Wondering what to do to sell your house faster?

Once you have committed to sell your house there are a few things you can do to make it more appealing to potential buyers.

  1. Curb Appeal
The first impression your house makes is very important. Some buyers make up their mind even before stepping foot inside the house. Make sure the house is nicely painted, trim any bushes, throw away any trash, clean windows, and make sure the house number’s are easy to find.
  2. Functionality
If you are marketing to end buyers make sure the house is functional. All the electrical, mechanical and plumbing fixtures should work properly.
  3. Pictures
Make sure your listing agent has pictures of every room of the house. The more pictures a house has for promotional purpose the more interest it will grab from potential buyers.
  4. Staging
If you are selling a vacant house, it would be a great idea to home stage if your budget allows it. On a more conservative budget virtual staging is also a great way for buyers to see the potential of the rooms. If you the house is currently furnished, make sure to remove any personal items and photos to help buyers picture the house as their own.
  5. Virtual Tours
With the advance of technology having a video of the house is a great marketing tool. Sometimes potential buyers can miss the open house and this will give them a better feel of how the house flows.
  6. Smells
Make sure to clean the house well, open doors and windows to get rid of any strong smells that can turn off potential buyers or that could trigger any allergies.
  7. Connecting Spaces
Keep hallways clear of any hazard items that people could trip on. This will also make the room feel more spacious. Make sure people can have good access to all rooms on the house and all connecting space have good lighting.
